The BRIC countries are Brazil, Russia, India, and China.

Option 1 states that China`s GDP is more than the combined GDP of all the other three countries. As of the current data, China is the world`s largest economy in terms of Purchasing Power Parity and its GDP is indeed higher than the combined GDP of Brazil, Russia, and India. Hence, statement 1 is correct.

Option 2 posits that China`s population is more than the combined population of any two other countries. However, India alone has a population comparable to China and if combined with either of the other two countries (Russia or Brazil), it would exceed China`s population. Hence, Statement 2 is not correct.

So from the above explanation, we can conclude that only the first statement is correct, making Option 1 the correct answer.
