What are Airawat, Param Siddhi, Pratyus and Mihir?

Airawat, Param Siddhi, Pratyush, and Mihir are all prominent supercomputers of India. Airawat (specifically AIRAWAT-PSAI), installed at C-DAC Pune, is currently India's fastest AI supercomputer and was ranked 75th in the world in the 2023 Top 500 Global Supercomputing List [1]. Param Siddhi-AI is another high-performance system located at C-DAC Pune, which has previously held high global rankings [1]. Pratyush and Mihir are high-performance computing (HPC) systems dedicated to weather and climate research; Pratyush is located at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune, while Mihir is installed at the National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (NCMRWF), Noida. These systems represent India's significant advancements in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence under the National Supercomputing Mission [1].
