How many text alignments are there in Microsoft Word?

In Microsoft Word, there are four primary horizontal text alignments available in the Paragraph group of the Home tab. These alignments determine how the edges of the text appear in relation to the document margins:

• Left Align (Ctrl + L): The default setting where text is aligned with the left margin, leaving the right edge uneven.
• Center (Ctrl + E): Text is centered between the left and right margins.
• Right Align (Ctrl + R): Text is aligned with the right margin, leaving the left edge uneven.
• Justify (Ctrl + J): Text is aligned evenly along both the left and right margins by adding extra space between words, creating a clean look on both sides.

While vertical alignment options also exist within tables or page setup, the standard paragraph alignments are these four.
