The first ever floodlit test cricket match was played between

Result
Your answer: —  Â·  Correct: A

Explanation

The first-ever floodlit (day-night) Test cricket match was played between Australia and New Zealand. This historic match took place at the Adelaide Oval, Australia, from November 27 to December 1, 2015. It was the first time a pink Kookaburra ball was used in a Test match to ensure visibility under artificial lights, as the traditional red ball is difficult to see at night and the white ball deteriorates too quickly for the 80-over requirement.

Australia won the match by 3 wickets. Since then, day-night Tests have become a periodic feature of international cricket to attract larger stadium attendances and television audiences. India played its first day-night Test against Bangladesh in 2019 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
