Sub-Inspector Geeta Samota of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) created history by becoming the first personnel from the force to successfully scale Mount Everest (8,849 m) on May 19, 2025. Hailing from Sikar, Rajasthan, she reached the summit as part of her larger goal to conquer the "Seven Summits." She already holds the record for being the fastest Indian woman to scale four continental peaks (Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, Kosciuszko, and Aconcagua) in just 6 months and 27 days.

• Seerapu Srikanth and Ashoka Nandini Mohanty are also CISF mountaineers; however, Srikanth has scaled Kilimanjaro and Elbrus, and Mohanty's 2022 Everest attempt was unsuccessful due to adverse weather.
• Mahendra Kumar Paswan was a CISF constable who was posthumously awarded the Shaurya Chakra for gallantry in 2020, not for mountaineering achievements.
