The damage to the Spektr Module of the Russian Space Station Mir was due to a collision with a Progress cargo spacecraft. On June 25, 1997, during an approach and docking maneuver, the Progress spacecraft collided with the Spektr Module, causing a puncture in the module and leading to a loss of pressurization. This collision resulted in damage to the solar panels and other systems of the Spektr Module.
