The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations focused on meteorology, operational hydrology, and geophysical sciences. It was established in 1950, succeeding the International Meteorological Organization. The headquarters of the WMO is located in Geneva, Switzerland [1]. Specifically, the Secretariat is situated at 7bis, avenue de la Paix in Geneva. The organization's supreme body, the World Meteorological Congress, also meets in Geneva, where the current headquarters building was officially inaugurated in 1999 [2].
