Explanation
The INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) scheme is a flagship initiative of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India [3]. Its primary objective is to attract young talent to the study of science and the pursuit of research careers at an early age [4]. The program is designed to communicate the excitement of creative pursuit in science to the youth and build a critical human resource pool for strengthening the country's S&T system [4]. It consists of three major components: the Scheme for Early Attraction of Talent (SEATS), which targets students aged 10-15; the Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE), which supports students in basic and natural sciences; and Assured Opportunity for Research Careers (AORC), which provides fellowships and faculty awards for independent research [4].
