The name of Ram Prasad Bismil is associated with—
Explanation
Ram Prasad Bismil was a prominent revolutionary leader and a founding member of the Hindustan Republican Association (HRA). He is primarily associated with the Kakori Conspiracy Case of 1925, which involved a daring train robbery near Lucknow to secure funds for revolutionary activities [2]. Bismil, along with Ashfaqullah Khan, conceived and executed the plan to loot the official railway cash from the 8 Down train. Following a massive government crackdown, Bismil was arrested and tried in the case, where he famously defended himself with great legal acumen. Ultimately, he was sentenced to death and hanged in 1927 along with Ashfaqullah Khan, Roshan Singh, and Rajendra Lahiri [2]. While he was also linked to the earlier Mainpuri Conspiracy of 1918, his historical legacy is most firmly rooted in the Kakori incident [3].
