The Isle of Youth, known in Spanish as Isla de la Juventud, is the second-largest island in the Cuban archipelago. It is located approximately 50 to 100 kilometers south of the main island of Cuba, situated across the Gulf of Bataban3. Historically referred to as the Isle of Pines (Isla de Pinos) until 1978, it is the largest island within the Canarreos Archipelago. Geographically, it lies almost directly south of Havana and Pinar del R3o.
