Which one among the following States does not form part of the Narmada basin ?

The Narmada River, the largest west-flowing river in India, originates from the Amarkantak plateau in Madhya Pradesh [5]. Its drainage basin covers an area of approximately 98,796 sq. km, extending across the states of Madhya Pradesh (82%), Gujarat (12%), Maharashtra (4%), and a small portion of Chhattisgarh (2%) [6]. While Rajasthan is a beneficiary state of the Sardar Sarovar Project and is involved in the Narmada River Water Dispute regarding water sharing, it does not geographically form part of the Narmada drainage basin itself [4]. The river flows through a rift valley between the Vindhya and Satpura ranges before entering the Gulf of Khambhat [5]. Therefore, Rajasthan is the state that does not form part of the Narmada basin.
