The female reproductive system consists of internal and external genitalia designed for reproduction. Internal structures include the ovaries, fallopian tubes (oviducts), uterus, cervix, and vagina [2]. The fallopian tubes transport eggs from the ovaries to the uterus, where fertilization typically occurs [2]. The cervix is the lower part of the uterus that opens into the vagina [2]. In contrast, the urethra is part of the urinary system. While the female urethra is located near the reproductive organs and terminates at the vaginal vestibule, its primary function is to provide a passage for urine from the bladder to the outside of the body. In males, the urethra serves a dual role as a common passage for both sperm and urine [3], but in females, the reproductive and urinary tracts remain distinct. Therefore, the urethra is not considered a part of the female reproductive system [1].
