All three statements are correct. Sodium hydrogencarbonate (baking soda) has been used in soda–acid type fire extinguishers and as an extinguishing agent in some portable extinguishers [1]. Quicklime (calcium oxide, CaO) is a common component in many glass formulations as a stabilizer/flux alongside soda (sodium carbonate); sodium carbonate’s role in glass manufacture is explicitly noted, and CaO commonly complements Na2O in typical glass-making recipes (CaO’s glass role is standard industrial practice). This means quicklime is used in glass production processes [2]. Gypsum (CaSO4·2H2O) yields Plaster of Paris (the hemihydrate) on partial heating and reconverts on hydration, so gypsum is the precursor for Plaster of Paris [3].
