Best lessons are learnt through bitter experiences. One day when India launched Chandrayan-2 in the hope of reaching to the Moon. Millions of Hearts on earth were waiting for it but unfortunately the Rover crashed. It was heartbreaking for all of us but ISRO learnt from the mistakes it did during chandrayan-2 and then finally launched Chandrayan-3 in 2023. This was the day when India made history and it became first ever country in the world to land on the South pole of Moon.

If ISRO had given up on its dream just because of one setback, we would have never reached there. The bitter experience taught the best lesson and thus India reached on moon. Historically, Indian women faced hardships and stereotypes like Sati tradition, Dowry, female infanticide, violation of their reproductive rights etc. These problems made them aware of their rights and right place in society and thus they started asking and questioning the discrimination against women. Various social reformers emerged like Sarla Devi, Ramabai Saraswati etc. who came forward and formed various societies. The bitter experiences of discrimination proved to be best lesson for women because this led to formation of various policies like Sati ban, widow remarriage etc. It provided women with their basic rights to live life freely. It inspires the upcoming generation to question the inequalities and prejudices. The third gender is vulnerable in our society. People do not treat them with dignity. They having the bitter experiences of their life because of the disrespect they are facing. But due to this various transgenders today are aware and fighting for their rights. Even government has made laws for their upliftment. The disrespect and discrimination forced them to question the society. It has led to empowerment of them and now they also take part in various economic and political activities and institutions etc. This is how a bitter experience can force you to do better.

The failures do not come to make you fall. It depends on us how we are taking them. Whether learning the best lesson or just sitting. When India was threatened by USA in 1971 for nuclear attack, our prime minister immediately gave a thought to that and then in 1974 operation Smiling Buddha was done. The nuclear threat made us feel isolated and weak. If USA had not given this we would have never become nuclear weapon country... It made us feel secure and strong in this world, specially in south Asia where we are surrounded by China and Pakistan. It can also be seen in present times where countries are fighting for dominance in every sphere whether it is space, ocean or territories. It is teaching us that we all are going in a wrong direction. If we keep fighting it will certainly lead to destruction.

All must learn from these wars and fights and must work for collective and peaceful world where each and every soul can live peacefully. Tribals were living peacefully in isolation but the mainstream people interfered in their way of life. Due to the economic development, tribals were rehabilitated from their ancestoral land. As per Xaxa report it led to indebtedness and poverty among tribes. All the injustice was done and then tribals started opposing. They protested against development projects like Dams. It pave the way for most balanced way of sustainable development. Tribals rights are also considered and saved by government along with development. Acts like forest right act 2006, Environment Impact Assessment act 2023 were formed to serve justice to tribals. This made development possible along with tribals inclusion. Thus sometimes bitter experiences take us towards the best solutions for various problems.

Problems can make us weak but remember Vivekananda's words -> "problems will come, they will teach you. you have to be resilient. you will succeed sooner or later." During Covid-19, due to supply chain disruptions Indian economy went down, fiscal deficit increased this made India to go for "Atam Nirbhar Bharat" in 2021. Today India's share in global exports has increased and India's GDP is growing at 7%. If India had not learnt from those bitter experiences we would not have been able to become the fastest growing economy in world for 4th consecutive year - (Economic Survey 2023). Remember, if milk gets bad then convert it into cheese and cheese is more valuable than milk. Similarly, problems can make you more valuable as a person. This is one side of the story. Let us now try to discuss another view. What if bitter experiences just leave us with guilt? Can a bitter experience of death of our loved one be a best lesson for us? No, so sometimes the problems and failures do not bring best lessons or Happiness. We have seen Pahalgam terror attack, if all civilians learn from that then should they stop going to Kashmir? Obviously - No. So sometimes these things left us with grief and sorrow. But even at that times we can learn something to make our future life better. So the solution lies in being strong, courageous, stand tall to each problem that is going to come. It is like a storm that can cause chaos but at the end clears your path. Be like a marathon runner, keep going and learning from the bitter experiences like tiredness and breathlessness. Even if you run slow but it will make you succeed if you face it head on as India have done during Chandrayan-2 failure and then finally created history. At the end I want to say - every bitter experience have some sweet lesson hidden. Do not go away from it. you may feel safe by going away but that is not good for you in your long term journey. As it is said- "ship is safe at Harbour but this is not what it is meant for." so experience everything and learn best from it.
