Globalization is being reshaped, not reversed Globalisation is a process wherein nations interact and engage with each other in terms of people, trade, organizations, summits, diplomats, etc. It tries to create a global world order through a unified system of governments and authorities. India opened its door of economy in the 1990s by the LPG Reforms - Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization. The newly independent India considered herself nascent in the process of global engagements, therefore maintained a calibrated start of the approach. Ancient India saw a slew of foreign travellers and monarchs who exploited Indian resources through the one way trade, looting and even ruling. This fear instilled in India, led her to, if not reverse globalization but be mindful of the LPG Reforms.

To talk about globalization and reforms, agriculture sector was among the very first target. To connect the backbone of Indian economy to the world. However, recent take-aways have assumptions of reverse globalization. Eg closing economy during COVID 19, passage of Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism by EU, excluding the vulnerable dairy out of the Mother of All Deals by India. However, a nuanced approach would not call it reverse of Globalization. The recent disruptions in markets due to unpredictable events such as pandemic or geopolitical tensions have led to strategic process of Globalization. Involving the Indian agriculture sector predominantly where there is mutual two way involvement, a win-win for both nations. For eg opening a limited section of sector, protecting the vulnerables and thereby reshaping globalization. Eg India - Australia trade deal Even the Indian infrastructure sector has recently seen instances where countries seem to disagree over each other leading to delays over ratifications of major infra deals. Eg Role of foreign nation in India's nuclear ability (Kundankulam, TN).

However, India, has been prioritising its sovereignty over the trade relations. Involving, beyond required, foreign nations in Indian infra may compromise Indian infra. [Eg] Indian infra - Gati Shakti, NIP, 3 stage nuclear program (indigenous efforts) Talking about infrastructure, defence is no way isolated. India has recently invested in home manufacturing units of equipments. Eg Lucknow unit of ballistic missile. This, however, in no way means reverse globalization. India prioritises its needs, preference and security over pure and blind globalization. India has recently ratified defence deals with Russia, France. Even, Israeli drones - Kamikaze were used in operation Sindool. Specially, in defence, India prioritizes friendly nations. There have been new domains which are opened in contemporary times, such as space, which have seen competitions. There has been a space station (ISS) belonging equally to US and Russia, where any nationed is welcomed to experiment. However, efforts have been to build nation-specific space stations. Eg China, India - Bhartiya Antariksh Station. This doesn't reverse but enhance the process of globalization, through sharing of information from multiple available resources and genres [eg] taking of tardigrade to space, crops such green moong by Dr Shubhanshu Shukla, would also help the global order.

Open economies with no responsibilities led to the immense degradation of the global climate. This resulted in country specific codes and efforts, such as India's ISA, EU's CBAM (which thought to close gates for exporting countries), Africa's green wall. The efforts however, lead to common but differentiated responsibility. The degradation and demands have been such, personal efforts are required. However, it reshapes the process such as, India's LiFE and ISA involve multiple nations, CBAM pushes for supply chain variations. Moreover, there has also been the role of digital sector in the reshaping of the globalized world order. Cyberfrauds and crimes such as digital arrests, money laundering has led India create a digital security net barrier between her and nations. India has recently launched the MANAV mission to provide a rightful access of AI and technology. This reshapes globalization as it also holds provisions such as International collaboration and efforts. Even in the tackling of cyber terrorism - India launched an indigenous comprehensive doctrine that reduces dependency on other nations' security system, while welcoming a transnational approach of tackling the menace of terrorism.

Therefore, dependence on internal innovations through collaborations - Reshaping the globalization Process. However, there has also been (Caribbean) cases where small nation states, have even almost closed their economies due to the ongoing conflicts, geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruption and risk to sovereignty. [eg] US toppling Venezuela government, Israel Genocide in Palestine. Despite all these, a century where AI, climate, trade, security, space all have transnational stake and connected implications, a reverse globalization can nowhere help to sustain the global world order. [eg] Even during COVID, supply of vaccinations India itself believes in 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' - we are One Family - therefore efforts have always been to sustain the global engagements, while protecting the rights, (through reshaping), of citizens in the act of Globalization. Also, as it is rightly said, just as a butterfly fluttering its wings, even small actions in global world order leads to chain reactions.
