What is the theme of World Youth Skills Day, 2021 ?

World Youth Skills Day is observed annually on July 15, following a declaration by the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. The theme for the year 2021 was "Reimagining Youth Skills Post-Pandemic".

This theme addressed the significant disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to education and training systems worldwide. It focused on the resilience of young people and the urgent need to adapt Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to the changing demands of the post-pandemic labor market. The day aims to highlight the importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 and SDG 8.
