The National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) is the premier training institution of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), located at Hakimpet, Hyderabad. Established in 1990, it is responsible for training the directly recruited officers (Assistant Commandants) and Sub-Inspectors of the CISF. It also provides specialized training in industrial security, aviation security, and disaster management to officers from other Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), State Police, and various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The Government of India has recognized NISA as a 'Centre of Excellence' in Industrial Security and Disaster Management. While the CISF maintains Regional Training Centres (RTCs) in places like Arakkonam (Tamil Nadu), Mundali (Odisha), and Bhilai (Chhattisgarh), the main Academy is situated in Hyderabad.
