Liberhan Commission has been appointed to deal with which one of the following?
Explanation
The Liberhan Commission, officially known as the Liberhan Ayodhya Commission of Inquiry, was established by the Government of India on December 16, 1992 [t1]. It was formed just ten days after the demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya to investigate the sequence of events leading to the destruction of the structure [c1]. Led by Justice M.S. Liberhan, the one-man commission spent 17 years conducting its inquiry, receiving 48 extensions before submitting its final report in June 2009 [c1][t1]. The report identified a conspiracy involving the then-state government of Uttar Pradesh and various organizations in the execution of the demolition [c2][t6]. In contrast, other incidents mentioned in the options were investigated by different bodies, such as the Nanavati Commission for the 1984 anti-Sikh riots [c5] and the Srikrishna Commission for the Mumbai communal riots [t5].
