Option 1 states that there are no east-flowing rivers in Kerala, which is incorrect as some rivers such as Kabini and Bhavani do flow eastwards from Kerala.

Option 2 states there are no west flowing rivers in Madhya Pradesh, which is also incorrect. Many rivers in Madhya Pradesh such as Betwa, Son and Hiran flow westward.

Option 3 suggests that both statements are correct, which is false as discussed above.

Option 4 says neither statement 1 nor 2 is correct, which is the correct answer as we’ve seen that there are both east-flowing rivers in Kerala and west-flowing ones in Madhya Pradesh.
