The provisions regarding the Anti-Defection Act are contained in the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution of India. The Tenth Schedule deals with disqualification on the grounds of defection for Members of Parliament and Members of State Legislatures. It sets out the procedures and conditions for disqualification of elected representatives if they voluntarily give up their party membership or violate party discipline.
