Among the Vijayanagar rulers, Krishnadeva Raya is considered as the greatest. He was the emperor of the Vijayanagar Empire from 1509 to 1529. Krishnadeva Raya was known for his exceptional military skills and his ability to expand the empire`s territory. He successfully defended his kingdom against multiple invasions and launched expeditions to conquer neighboring territories. Krishnadeva Raya also patronized the arts and literature, making the Vijayanagar Empire a hub of cultural and intellectual activities. His reign is often considered as the golden age of the Vijayanagar Empire. Although option 2, Vira Narasimha was an important ruler who played a significant role in expanding the empire, Krishnadeva Raya`s achievements and contributions overshadowed those of other rulers, making him the greatest among them.
