When the Mountbatten Plan of independence was accepted, the President of the Indian National Congress was Acharya J.B. Kriplani. The Mountbatten Plan, also known as the 3rd June Plan, was a proposal that aimed to transfer power from British rule to two separate dominions of India and Pakistan. It was accepted on June 3, 1947.
Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, and Maulana Azad were all prominent leaders of the Indian National Congress, but they were not the President of the party at the time when the Mountbatten Plan was accepted.
However, it`s important to note that the term "President of the Indian National Congress" refers to the leadership position within the party and does not necessarily equate to the President of India.
