Motilal Nehru and Chittaranjan Das were the founder members of the Swarajya Party. The Swarajya Party was formed in 1923 as a political party in India. It was an opposition party to the British Raj and aimed at achieving self-governance or "Swaraj" for India. The party was formed by members of the Indian National Congress who were unhappy with the leadership of the party at that time. The Swarajya Party advocated for a more radical approach in the fight for independence and worked towards social and economic reforms. Motilal Nehru and Chittaranjan Das played key roles in the formation and functioning of the Swarajya Party. They believed in the principles of self-governance, social justice, and equal rights for all Indians.
