India signed the `Action Plan for Prioritization and Implementation of Cooperation Areas in the Nuclear Field` deal with Russia. The agreement was signed during a summit meeting between the Prime Minister of India and the President of Russia in September 2019. The agreement aims to deepen the cooperation between India and Russia in the field of nuclear energy, including the construction of nuclear power plants, nuclear fuel cycle management, and other related areas. The deal also includes the possibility of joint projects and collaboration in third countries. This agreement is significant for India as it is heavily dependent on imported energy sources and is looking to diversify its energy mix.
