The mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier are housed in the Basilica of Bom Jesus, located in Velha, Goa. This basilica is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is renowned for its Baroque architecture. It is one of the oldest churches in India and holds great importance in the Christian faith. The body of St. Francis Xavier, a Spanish Jesuit missionary, is preserved in a silver casket inside the basilica. Pilgrims from around the world visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus to pay their respects to Saint Francis Xavier. It should be noted that Option 2, Se Cathedral in Velha, Goa, is incorrect as the body of St. Francis Xavier is not housed there.
