The Committee on Estimates is the largest Committee of the Parliament with a total of 30 members (15 from Lok Sabha and 15 from Rajya Sabha). This committee examines the estimates included in the Budget and suggests economies in public expenditure. The Committee on Public Accounts (PAC) and the Committee on Public Undertakings (CPU) are also important committees of the Parliament, but they have fewer members than the Committee on Estimates. The Committee on Petitions is a relatively smaller committee that examines the petitions received from the public.
