Methane is a potent GHG often released during fuel production and agricultural activities [3]. Ozone, particularly in the troposphere, also acts as a greenhouse gas by absorbing infrared radiation [3]. In contrast, Carbon Monoxide (CO) is not classified as a direct greenhouse gas because it does not significantly absorb infrared radiation itself. While it can act as a precursor that influences the lifetime of other GHGs like methane, it is not listed among the primary gases responsible for the direct greenhouse effect.
