The `Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT)` is an initiative by the Government of India with the aim of transforming urban India by providing basic amenities, such as water supply and sewerage, urban transport and green spaces amongst others. Under this initiative, Option 1: `Water Supply`, Option 2: `Storm Water Drainage to Reduce Flooding` and Option 4: `Green Spaces and Park` are the key areas that are catered for improving the urban living conditions in India. However, Option 3: `Motorized Urban Transport and Capacity Building` is not prioritized or listed as a thrust area of AMRUT. Despite urban transport being a considerable area of concern in Urban development, as it is mostly under the State`s jurisdictions and not the Central Government`s, and because AMRUT places its emphasis on basic services, Option 3 is not part of AMRUT`s strategic plan.
