Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been upgraded to a 'Navratna' Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) as of April 2023. Prior to this upgrade, RVNL was classified as a 'Miniratna' CPSE. The decision to upgrade RVNL to Navratna status was approved by the Ministry of Finance, making it one of the companies with enhanced financial autonomy.
