In the 10th century, the composers of the Nalayira Divya Prabandham were the Alvars. The Alvars were a group of Tamil poet-saints who were devoted to Vishnu and were known for their Tamil devotional poetry. They lived between the 5th and 9th centuries and their compositions were later compiled as the Nalayira Divya Prabandham, which is considered one of the most important texts in the South Indian Vaishnavism tradition.

The Nalayira Divya Prabandham consists of four thousand verses or songs, composed by twelve Alvars. Each Alvar had their unique style of devotion and their compositions were rich in emotional expressions of love and devotion towards Vishnu. The Alvars played a significant role in spreading the Bhakti movement in South India and their compositions are still sung and revered in temples and homes today.

Option 2, Nayanars, refers to a group of Shaivaite saint-poets who lived in the same time period as the Alvars. Option 3, Appar, and option 4, Sambandar, are two of the prominent Nayanar saints. However, they were not the composers of the Nalayira
