“Mission Indradhanush” is related to

Mission Indradhanush (MI) is a flagship health initiative launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on December 25, 2014 [4]. The primary objective of the mission is to achieve full immunization coverage of at least 90% for children up to two years of age and pregnant women [4]. It functions as a special catch-up vaccination campaign under the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP), specifically targeting high-focus districts with low coverage or high numbers of partially vaccinated and unvaccinated children [2]. The mission aims to protect children against several vaccine-preventable diseases, including diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, polio, tuberculosis, measles, and hepatitis B [4].
